CPISM (Certificate of Proficiency in Information Systems Management)
Course Objective:
This semester lays the foundation for learning
Microsoft Office Tools, Web Page Designing, Database Design and
Implementation skills. CPISM is the basis for all the courses.
Pre-requisite for CPISM:
A student must have completed AWARE or ICDL course from APTECH or any ICDL centre.
Learning Outcome:
- Design and develop web pages using HTML, DHTML and JavaScript
- Design web pages using Dream weaver MX
- Present solutions to programming problems using flowcharts, algorithms and pseudo code
- Create databases and manipulate data in them using Microsoft® SQL Server 2000

Course Curriculum:
Course Pre-requisite : ICDL / (Computer Fundamentals, MS-Office 2007 Suite & Internet)
SEMESTER - 1:
- Elementary Programming in C
- Explore HTML, DHTML and JavaScript
- Designing Web Sites in Dreamweaver 8.0
- RDBMS and Data Management
- Working with SQL Server 2005 Database objects
- eProject (Dreamweaver)
Once a student has successfully
qualified semester one, he/she will be awarded with the CPISM
Certificate and the Performance Statement, indicating the modules
he/she has studied during the CPISM course.
DISM (Diploma in Information Systems Management)
Course Objective:
This semester aims at imparting programming
skills. Students gain programming knowledge for developing
user-interactive application using Java & C#.

This course benefits individuals having basic
programming knowledge to upgrade their programming skills in client /
server programming with Java / C# as a Front End and SQL Server as a
Back End.
Pre-requisite for DISM:
A student must have completed CPISM course from APTECH.
Learning Outcome:

Industrial Training
After qualifying the first,second
and third semester,completing industrial training, students are awarded
with the DISM Certificate and the Performance Statements of Semester1
& Semester2, indicating the modules they have studied during the
DISM course.
